Make Your Own Homemade Deodorant

If you've ventured here to read this post, you're looking for a more natural deodorant option. You might be wondering how to make your own deodorant and about the process of switching from mainstream to homemade. Or you're my mom (Hi, Mom!).

I started making and using my own homemade deodorant a few months ago. I think I'm starting to become a hippy. I've been slowly (very slowly) working on replacing harsher chemicals and toxins in my household and personal care products over the last year or so. Making my own household products has been fantastic because I can customize my essential oils and fragrances, get rid of toxins and carcinogens, and save money. My husband is even getting on board which is like, whoa.

I decided to try making my own deodorant after reading a recipe on one of my favorite minimalism blogs, Nourishing Minimalism. I am so inspired by Rachel and her ability to live minimally and joyfully with a house full of children, which I am told are quite …

Neon Sunset Gradient with Stamping & Holo

So apparently this blog will be heavy on the nail art. Last weekend I decided to go all out and do a gradient. Then I stamped it. Then I couldn't even and I added some Northern Lights. This is what I got.

Hint: cheap wedge sponges from Walmart work the best.

I then used an image from the Bundle Monster Blogger Collaboration with Lucy's Stash. I used my trusty Rica Blackout and my clear stamper, which was …

I went to check out the website and after some easy-peasy navigation and descriptions, immediately purchased four pairs. I don't know what genius this CarrieRae lady was struck with, but these are pretty much my new secret weapon for dresses.

Undersummers are advertised on their home page as "Super Comfy," "Always Fun," and "Absolutely Not Shape Wear!" Alright, I'm in! I knew I needed to check out the Size Chart first and it was next in line on the menu--it's like this website was reading my mind. Anyway, I'm a plus-size woman and I was delighted to find they carry sizes US Small to 4X, basically the sizing equivalent of NY & Company through Lane Bryant. My next stop was their "Fit" tab to read about the styles and features. On each page of the style they also have a key with main fea…
